GuideLive

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 9, 2026

Miloš Živković (“we”, “us” or “our”) provides the GuideLive mobile application and the GuideLive web portal (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it is shared and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

When you create or use an account, we may process your email address, password hash, email-verification and password-reset tokens, selected country and language, account status, trial and package balances, and optional company billing information that you provide. We never store your plain-text password.

Sign-in information

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive information required to authenticate you, such as your email address and the provider-specific account identifier. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.

Device and usage information

We process a randomly generated device identifier, device display name, app version, device model, Android version, last-seen time, broadcast-session start and end times, session duration, package used and listener count. Standard web-server logs may also include an IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp.

Diagnostics

When an application error occurs, GuideLive may send a diagnostic report containing the error message and stack trace, app version, device model, Android version, device identifier, signed-in email address, operating mode, thread name and listener count. We use these reports only to diagnose failures, improve reliability and prevent abuse.

Payments

Purchases made in the Android app are processed by Google Play. Purchases made on the web portal may be processed by PayPal. We store transaction references, product/package, amount, quantity and payment status so that we can grant and maintain your purchased access. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

2. Microphone, audio and local network

GuideLive uses microphone permission to broadcast the guide’s voice to listeners connected to the guide’s local Wi-Fi hotspot. Live audio is sent locally from the guide’s phone to listener browsers and is not uploaded to the GuideLive account server. This local hotspot connection uses HTTP/WebSocket transport and is not encrypted with TLS; access is restricted by the session PIN and the hotspot password selected by the guide.

If you choose to record or select an audio file, that file remains on the guide’s device or in a storage folder selected by the guide. GuideLive does not upload those recordings to our server. Listener PINs are used locally to control access to a live session. GuideLive disables Android application backup to reduce the risk of authentication data and app-specific recordings being copied to a system cloud backup.

3. How we use information

4. Legal bases

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, with your consent where required, and to comply with legal obligations.

5. Third-party services

GuideLive may use the following providers to deliver specific features:

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. GuideLive does not use AdMob, Firebase Analytics or third-party advertising trackers.

6. Cookies and local storage

The web portal uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and may store your language preference. The Android app stores authentication and account state locally on your device. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the Service, when you request or authorize it, to protect users and the Service, or when required by law.

8. Data retention and security

We retain account and usage information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Diagnostic records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for troubleshooting and security.

We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections and hashed passwords. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your rights and account deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing.

Self-service deletion (recommended): log in to the GuideLive portal account deletion page or open Account → Delete account in the Android app. You must confirm twice. Deletion permanently removes your account, packages, payment records, usage sessions, devices and ratings. This cannot be undone.

Alternatively, email office@mfp.co.rs from the email address registered to your account with the subject “Delete my GuideLive account”. We may ask you to verify account ownership. Limited records may be retained only where required by law (e.g. tax obligations already fulfilled by deleted payment rows are not kept after self-service wipe).

10. Children’s privacy

GuideLive is intended for professional guides, lecturers and organizations and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

11. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
